Mrzi me trenutno da prevodim i pišem svojim rečima. Uzeto iz [url=www.animal-world.com/encyclo/fresh/anabantoids/dwarfgourami.php]https://animal-world.com/encyclo/fresh/anabantoids/dwarfgourami.php "In recent years some available specimens have been found to carry a virus called the Dwarf Gourami Iridovirus (DGIV). Symptoms include lethargic behavior, darkening of color, and tumors, and infected fish will die within a year. Currently there is no treatment for this virus and it can be transmitted to some other fish species sharing the same water including Swordtails, Mollies, and possibly cichlids. This is a new development thought to be the result of mass-breeding for the hobby which may have resulted in a widespread epidemic. Previously similar illnesses with these fish pointed to bacterial infections such as fish Tuberculosis and Nocardia-type bacterial afflictions, but more recently it is thought to be this disease. In 2006 a study conducted in Australia in dictated that as many as 22% of the specimens coming out of Singapore were carrying the disease." Ukradeno od Ministarstva poljoprivrede Australije: "Signs of disease Important: Animals with this disease may show one or more of these signs, but the pathogen may still be present in the absence of any signs. Disease signs at the farm, tank or pond level are: • mortalities between 50% and 100% • fish remaining on bottom of tank and not feeding well • lethargy • respiratory distress (rapid movement of opercula). Gross pathological signs are: • changes in body colour (darkening or lightening) • exophthalmos (popeye) • abdominal distension (due to fluid or enlargement of organs). Microscopic pathological signs are: • basophilic hypertrophied cells throughout numerous body tissues, but especially the haematopoietic tissues of the kidney and spleen • some virus affected cells may resemble amoebae in appearance."
