The highly anticipated Version 2.6 update for Honkai: Star Rail, titled "Annals of Pinecany's Mappou Age," will be released on October 23. This content-packed update will take players to Penacony's Paperfold University and introduce Rappa, a new five-star Imaginary character.
Following the release of Version 2.5 on September 10, which introduced the five-star characters Feixiao and Lingsha, as well as the four-star Moze, Version 2.6 promises even more exciting additions. Players previously returned to Xianzhou Luofu, but now they’ll be venturing back to the vibrant Planet of Festivities, Penacony.
The new update will feature Rappa, a five-star Imaginary character on the Path of Erudition. Players will also have the opportunity to add Acheron, Aventurine, and Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae to their roster once again. Additionally, Version 2.6 will debut Honkai: Star Rail’s third Simulated Universe DLC, continuing after the popular Swarm Disaster and Gold and Gears expansions. In this new DLC, players will gather and enhance Scepters, unlocking more powerful abilities as they progress through the Simulated Universe.

In terms of story, players will see the Trailblazer crew embracing student life at Paperfold University, where they encounter Rappa, a Galaxy Ranger and self-proclaimed ninja with a love for comics, rap, and graffiti art. As part of her mission to hunt down Evil Ninja Osaru, Rappa teams up with the Trailblazers, adding a thrilling narrative to the update. Players can also expect the "Sound Hunt Ninjutsu Inscription" event, where they’ll act as band manager for the Dreamlight Anniversary music party.
While Version 2.6 hasn’t been released yet, rumors about Version 2.7 are already circulating. Leaks suggest that the four-star Lightning character Tingyun will get a new five-star form. Since its release in April 2023, Honkai: Star Rail has continued to deliver fresh content and remains a favorite among fans. |
