Developer Slavic Magic has announced upcoming changes to Manor Lords, refining the distribution of ale and water in response to player feedback. Through social media, the developer shared sneak peeks of these adjustments and an all-new winter-themed map, adding depth to the early-access medieval strategy game.
Since its surprise early-access launch, Manor Lords has quickly captured the interest of historical strategy fans, drawing comparisons to titles like Total War for its immersive city-building and large-scale combat elements. Players take on the role of a medieval lord, constructing a settlement that evolves naturally through changing seasons and complex economic and strategic combat systems. While still in development, Slavic Magic has committed to regular updates, with new content on the horizon.
In a recent Twitter post, the developer outlined the new feature focused on resource management, specifically the distribution of water and ale among the townsfolk. The update will introduce wellheads with visible supply and demand indicators, enabling players to track water availability in each town. This addition will require more strategic placement of wellheads and potentially building additional sources to avoid shortages, enhancing the realism of Manor Lords' resource management mechanics.
